I was born in Minsk, Belarus, and grew up in the former Soviet Union, where years of dance and ballet began training my eye to appreciate the impact of movement, rhythm, and light. In my teens, my family immigrated to the United States as political refugees, and my search for identity found its home in art.

As a student at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, I had a side job as an illustrator, creating pen-and-ink drawings for architecture and archaeology books and magazines published by the Wisconsin Historical Society. That work sparked my curiosity about America’s Indigenous past and led me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and Photography at Columbia College Chicago.

After a decade-long design career in tech and advertising through the dot-com era, a serendipitous trip to Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula opened a new chapter. Drawn by Maya wisdom traditions and a devoted yoga practice, I moved to Tulum in 2010 and reinvented my life around the camera—photographing people, places, and rituals that reconnect us to nature.

Currently I split my time between Mexico City and Amatlan, with Tulum remaining my forever home. My photography work is collaborative and story-driven. I love partnering with talented creators, visionary entrepreneurs, unique hospitality experiences, and lifestyle brands that value beauty, deep presence, and conscious relationship with the Earth.
